This Privacy Policy explains how Devventa (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit devventa.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
The Site runs no analytics, no advertising and no tracking scripts of any kind. Reading Devventa requires no account, sets no cookie, and stores nothing in your browser. The only information we hold is what you deliberately send us.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address, the page you subscribed from, and a one-way salted hash of your IP address. The hash exists to limit abuse of the signup form; it is not reversible and we do not store the address itself. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Contact. The contact form on our About page does not submit anything to us. It opens a pre-filled message in your own email client, and nothing is sent until you send it. If you email us, we hold that message and your address for as long as it takes to deal with it.
Information collected automatically
Nothing by us. We run no analytics package and no tracking pixel, so we do not know which pages you read, where you came from, or what device you used.
Our hosting and infrastructure providers necessarily process the technical details of a request in order to serve it. The Site is hosted on Vercel; our newsletter records are stored in Cloudflare D1 and article images are served from Cloudflare R2. Those providers handle request data such as IP address and user agent as part of delivering and securing the service, under their own terms and privacy policies rather than ours.
2. How we use information
- To send the newsletter you requested, if you asked for it.
- To reply to an email you sent us.
- To limit abuse of the newsletter signup form.
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
3. Advertising and third parties
The Site currently displays no advertising and contains no advertising or analytics code. There is no Google AdSense integration, and /ads.txt intentionally does not exist.
If advertising or analytics are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated before they go live, and any consent mechanism required in your jurisdiction will be in place at that time.
Articles link to third-party sites and quote vendor documentation. Following an external link takes you somewhere governed by that site’s own privacy policy, not this one.
4. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact hello@devventa.com.
5. Data retention & security
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
